Dr. Patil’s approach was characteristically innovative. Fertile soil was transported by thousands of tractors, laying the groundwork for cultivation. Initially, water was supplied by bullock cart-mounted tankers, demonstrating his resourcefulness. This initial effort paved the way for a more sustainable solution: the construction of a jackwell on the Warana River, providing consistent irrigation and ushering in an era of lush greenery.
